A little of everything......

Picture are taking me forever to load....so I'm only posting one.
Katie got her glasses...she looks even more like me:)
She also had her endo. appt. Her hypothyroid is NOT hashimotos, Dr wants to continue with testing to figure out why she is so small. Turner syndrome was mentioned.....scary:/
Bekah also has an appt next week...she's even smaller than Katie....and seems to be allergic to vinegar?? I guess we'll find out.
I got the homeschool curriculum all ordered and now I am waiting anxiously to get my hands on it!!! Sarah and Dan are already planning their first science project....a volcano. Janna is looking foward to homeschool too, she thinks it means you do crafts all day long lol.
Elijah is 8 months now! My goodness where does time go?? He is waving and pulling up and growing more everyday.
Katie's Appts.

What a long day! We left the house at 9:30 AM and got home at 5:00PM...Two dr appts, two different eyeglasses places (trying to find one that took our insurance), dropping 3 kids off at MIL's, picking 3 kid's up, grocery shopping.....I am exhausted, but the kids are still awake.
So Katie's TSH is still not quite right and her card now thinks it is hashimotos...Like mother, like daughter. So we are increasing her meds and doing blood work again in 8 weeks.
She is "severely near sighted and probably has been for a long time". The dr thinks she has never been able to see and the nerves in her brain never had the opportunity to develop properly...so basically she has to learn how to see.
She picked out some blue wire rimmed glasses....we have to wait a week or so for them to come in.
As soon as she gets them I'll post pics.
explaining for Erin;)
Katie failed her eye screening and her dr thought she detected a slight lazy eye...that explains the eye dr. The endocrinologist is because about 4 months ago her card. did blood work because she was tired all the time. It came back as compensative hypothyroid... Her card. has been treating it, but her ped. now wants her to see an endo, just to be safe. LOL clear as mud right?
The story behind the name......
In the car on the way home from church one Sunday last month, Sarah asked a question about why we don't do things the same as her friends. Her daddy...with his unique style told her...."because we are weird, the bible says we are a peculiar people, so we are weird.....We are weird for Jesus" So it has stuck and we are all proud to say we are "weird for Jesus"
Long time no blog
My Mom gave me a new camera....but it just tool me 40 min to upload these two pics. So I'm just going to do two for today.
LOL Silly little man

Our Tribe of Dan:)
So we have been super busy. Just this week we had Katies birthday and party and then spending her money at TRU. Then we had her Dr. appt with her new ped. and then we had to take a trip to the lab to get her bloodwork done before her appt with Dr.G(card) next week. We love her new Dr. She was great. We are adding an endocrinologist and an optamologist to her list of drs...so we will continue to be overwhelmed by dr appts for a bit.
