sewing lessons

A teacher at Sarah's school is expecting a baby girl.....so my sweet baby girl decided she wanted to make her a quilt. So I called in the reinforcements...in the form of Maymee(Dans mom). They worked on it Wed. and plan on finishing tomorrow...She is doing such an awesome job.

Sick

Tuesday April 22, 1:33 PM

Why did I have to teach them to share?! So of course everything is feeling exaggerated in the negative direction......
Baby's nap....not quite long enough
Children's voices....not quite quiet enough
Tissues.....not quite soft enough
Bed...not quite close enough

Good Morning

Monday, April 21 8:09 AM (blogger keeps getting the day and time wrong)

I was so hoping to sleep in this morning.........5:30 Lijah was wide awake and squealing. Sunday's are exhausting and refreshing all in one 24 hour period. Church was amazing and has fired me up for my bible studies this week. Then in the afternoon Dan and I were trying to figure out.............maybe TMI..............Gods will concerning birth control. We sat all afternoon(with a small break for dish washing) bibles in hand searching and praying. It's going to take more time, but I feel like we are headed in the right direction.

Today Dan is on a ride along for a possible new job. Prayer for this is appreciated. Seeking Gods will..........

This week is school vacation, so i should have a ton of fun pics to share. Then Saturday my baby girl turns four! She wants a pizza party with a spiderman ice cream cake, then on Sunday a trip to the childrens museum. She got a gift this weekend from her cousins, Jessica and Seth.

Little Man

I can't believe I forgot to mention. Elijah was 16 Lbs 8 oz on Thursday!! He has gained almost 10 lbs since birth! I swear each leg must be at least 5 Lbs though....you ought to see these thighs! He also has started rolling around the house to get where he wants.

ooooops wrong end....He thought this was sooo funny

He has started getting uo on his knees and trying to push foward...skids on his face

Two year olds

Such a sweet little face................
Don't let it fool ya! LOL It's just been one of those days.

Report cards:)

So the big girls got report cards this week and we had P/T conferences....I am so proud! Sarah is reading at least two levels higher than her peers.....her teacher didn't have time to test to see how high she is. On her assessment she read 155 words in 5o seconds! and could recall every detail!!! She got a ton of E's(exceeds the standard)

Katie is also an exceptional reader...they have "word wall words" also know as high frequency words. She read them at 100% accuracy!! She also got alot of E's and made her Mama so proud.

Dan wants me to home school the girls next year....the thought scares me. I'm afraid I am not qualified and that I won't have time to meet everyones needs. I guess I'll wait and see what God has in store for us.
Elijah sat in the high chair for the first time yesterday, He's still not eating solids, but sat in there during supper. He looks so little.......

Lijah is sitting by himself, but i was afraid He'd fall over so thats my fat self behind him.Playing ball! Katie was rolling it to him and he was eating it lol

Church day

So I didn't get to sit in church too long today before Lijah got hungry. So into the nursing mothers room we go. Technially you can hear church in there, but it's difficult. usually there is a baby or two crying....or in our case a big baby boy screeching! That would be mine lol. So we sat around chatting about babies. Turned out the lady beside me has a five year old girl with CHD, so we talked about that a bit. It's weird when you find someone who has similar experiences......sort of like you found a new family member.
After church I hit the grocery store....and forgot half the stuff I needed. So Dan gets to go back in the morning, lucky him.
Not a very exciting day, but nice...lots of family time:)
